Library of the Institute of Botany
Library of the Institute of Botany is specialised at scientific literature. The fund situated in the main library in Průhonice involves about 70,000 issues. Some titles were obtained as a result of exchange with partners abroad or as books for reviews. There has been regular exchange of journal Folia Geobotanica published by the Institute for about 100 periodicals published abroad. The total number of journals available in the library is about 200. The library is public, but is designed mainly for the purpose of the employees at the Institute of Botany and other scientific workers at institutions dealing in related fields. Another literature related to aquatic species is found in the library of Research Division II in Třeboň.

Vegetace ČSSR (Vegetation of Czechoslovakia):

Studies published in this series describe the plant cover of Czechoslovakia. The subjects of study are either complex problems of the vegetation of Czechoslovakia or selected communities colonizing this territory. In addition, there are monographic studies on a selected area undertaken for the purpose of either elucidating geobotanical problems or providing a clear-cut picture of certain communities. There are also contributions on the ecology of selected landscape complexes, concerned with the influence and importance of ecological factors for the vegetation. „Vegetace ČSSR" is published in two series:
