Fields of interest: Electrochemical method (polarography) for wall shear stress, velocity and mass transfer measurements. Segmented probes for direction specific measurements. Experimental fluid mechanics – impinging jets, sudden expansion, film flows. Fluidification of shear thinning liquids by imposed oscillations. Atomisation of liquids, especially into vacuum. Treatment of rheologically complex materials by the instantaneous pressure drop (DIC – puffing into vacuum) with the aim of expansion, texturing, drying and extraction.
