Central Bohemia – Home of Rare and Endangered Fungi

The Central Bohemia region and the vicinity of the capital Prague have very variable and unique natural conditions. Intense research into rare and endangered fungi (included in the Red List) was carried out there in 2007 and 2008. The article evaluates the results, which show that Central Bohemia has remained a region hosting many interesting fungus species in spite of the increasing impact of human activities on the environment.
