The high species richness of the tribe Genisteae (the legume or pea family, Fabaceae) cannot be seen as much elsewhere in Europe as on the Iberian Peninsula: 85-109 known species belonging to 12 genera occur there. They are also foraged by a broad range of insect consumers. The authors focus on moths of the genus Phyllonorycter from the family leaf blotch miner moths (Gracillariidae). Narrow food specialists predominate among them.
