Members of the tribe Genisteae of the Iberian Peninsula and their Leaf Blotch Miner Moths – Best Things Imaginable for Botanists and Entomologists

Laštůvka Z., Laštůvka A.

The high species richness of the tribe Genisteae (the legume or pea family, Fabaceae) cannot be seen as much elsewhere in Europe as on the Iberian Peninsula: 85-109 known species belonging to 12 genera occur there. They are also foraged by a broad range of insect consumers. The authors focus on moths of the genus Phyllonorycter from the family leaf blotch miner moths (Gracillariidae). Narrow food specialists predominate among them.
