Subject of research

Reconstructive vascular surgery belongs nowadays to the pillars of the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. It has extraordinarily contributed to the present level of medicine generally and cardiovascular diseases particularly because of its curative abilities from the reconstructions of coronary arteries over peripheral reconstructions applicable in transplant surgery. The basic tactical technique is so-called „by-pass“, which means bypassing closed or damaged section by a vascular substitute of biological or synthetic character. Anastomosis of the graft with vessel is the basic technical praerequisite of the performance and has to be perfect from all points of view, including the hemodynamic one. Hemodynamic characteristics are largely based onempirical experience and complex teoretical as well as experimental processing of the vascular reconstruction field hasn‘t been carried out yet. The monumental development of experimental and computer technology has recently made possible to solve

Research Goal

Several experimental circuits were built up in order to develop methodology of hemodynamic parameters measurements by the most modern methods (PIV, LDA, UVP and CTA). The original technology of transparent models manufacture was developed. The universal e...
