Flowering Treasure of Autumn Peloponnesus

Suda J.

Geophytes are among the most peculiar representatives of autumn flower species of the Greek Peloponnesus peninsula. After the dry season, dozens of species appear, especially of the genus Colchicum and Crocus, but also of the genus Sternbergia and Allium. Many endemic species only grow in the southernmost parts of the peninsula.
