J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry of the ASCR, v.v.i., offers
*** 3-year positions in the Department of Structure and Dynamics in Catalysis
Requirements:
Master and doctorate degree (equivalent of PhD.) in chemistry. The project will include (i) synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of special microporous materials, (ii) catalytic testing end high level evaluation of the structure-performance properties of the prepared materials. Previous experience with the relevant experimental or kinetic modelling techniques is necessary. More information about the activities of the group see web of the department.
The positions will be financed by the EU Project NEXTL-GTL.(2009-2012)
*** two 2-year positions in the Department of Synthesis and Catalysis
Requirements:
Master and PhD degree in chemistry. The projects include (i) synthesis and characterization of microporous and mesoporous materials, (ii) catalytic testing of the structure-performance properties of the prepared materials. One position will be financed by the EU Project MACADEMIA, the another position will be supported by J. Heyrovsky Institute.
***1-year position in the Department of Electrocatalysis
Requirements:
Doctorate degree (equivalent of PhD.) in chemistry, physics, material science or related field; hands-on experience with X-ray absorption spectroscopy, experience with analysis of XANES and EXAFS spectra.. The project will include synthesis, structural and electrochemical evaluation of non- metal nanocrystalline electrocatalysts. ***Two 1-year postdoctoral positions in the Department of Theoretical Chemistry
Requirements:
Doctorate degree (equivalent of PhD.) in chemistry or physics and extensive experience with quantum chemistry calculations. The postdoctoral fellows will use periodic DFT and QM/MM approaches to model the structure, reactivity, catalytic activity and properties of zeolite based materials.
