The UV/optical obscured Galactic Center (GC) has recently become an active
region for research with the advent of powerfull new IR
instruments. Within 30pc of the Galactic center surprisingly young and
massive stellar cluster have been found. This talk
will focus on the importance of massive stars, especially Wolf-Rayet
(WR) stars, in the cosmic recycling process. Furthermore, I will present
new PoWR analyses of the WR stars in the Quintuplet cluster based on
near-infrared observations.
