Investigation of the influence of physical and chemical factors on the adhesion of destabilized particles in fluidized layer

  • Identification: A2060506 - Grant Agency of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic
  • Duration: 1995 - 1997
  • Principal investigator: RNDr. Silvestr Mutl CSc.

During the tests by which the aggregation efficiency of the fluidized layer of granulated material was verified it was established that the destabilized particles of impurities can be directly separated from water in the form of a solid water free shell, covering the grains contained in the layer The course of the process is influenced by physical (temperature, velocity gradient, etc) and chemical (pH value, type of destabilization reagent and its dosage, etc.) factors. The aim of the project is to determine the influence of individual factors and to optimize them in order to reach the maximum possible separation efficiency. Experimental works will be carried out in the waterworks Želivka, where the pilot plant is installed. The method proposed represents a basis f or development of waste free technology in water treatment.
