Impact of climate change on hydrological regimes and water resources in European community

  • Identification: EV5V-CT93-0293 - PECO
  • Duration: 1995 - 1997

The general objectives of the existing project are to provide quantitative information on possible changes in the water balance in Europe, and to provide guidance on the management of water resources in the face of climate change. The project operates at the European scale (on a resolution of 0.5x0.5°), at the regional scale (the Rhine basin) and the catchment scale (several case study catchments). The links between the various elements are through a consistent impact assessment methodology and the use of consistent climate change scenarios. Climate change scenarios are based on IPCC scenarios.
