In Search of Pinus pumila in Baikal Region

Pinus pumila is a species with a wide ecological amplitude growing in most of north-eastern Asia. In the St. Nose Peninsula near the east coast of Lake Baikal it can be found in all altitudinal vegetation zones. The species has different forms depending on the altitude, from upright up to ground forms, with a different share of generative and vegetative types of reproduction.
