Abstract:
We present a recently found connection between X-ray edge problem and Kondo effect. Two models are explained: Mahan-Nozieres-de Dominicis model of light absorption in alkali metals and Single Impurity Anderson Model of localization. Both models are solved in critical regime using Parquet equations.
