Arrival to Prague

Coming to Prague by train, you can get out either at the Main Station ("Hlavni nadrazi") or at the station "Nadrazi Holesovice". Both of them are on the Metro, line C.

Coming by plane, you land at the Ruzyne Airport. To get to the center of Prague, you can take either:

- the shuttle service (highly recommended: as fast as the taxi, but with a fixed low price) which takes to a coach terminal downtown, close to the Metro station "Namesti republiky" (departures from the airport each 30 minutes, price CZK 90, dose not operate by night) or to any other place in Prague (departure at any time, price CZK 360 to the city center, CZK 720 off center). The service is provided by white minibuses denoted "Airport centrum". The airport shuttles are operated from 6 a. m. to 9 p. m. . Information on tel. (+420-2) 20114296.

- or taxi (please check the price with the driver before you get in). The price per km (CZK 25 or so) must be indicated on the taxi driver's door. There are cases when unexperienced foreign tourists paid far beyond the official price range to "gray"  personal transport taxi-like services. The price from the airport to the city should not exceed CZK 600-800, depending on the destination. A taxi company considered reliable is the "AAA Radiotaxi", tel. (+420 2) 14014.

- or, if you think ecologically, you may use public transport. Bus No. 119 takes you to the Metro terminal Dejvicka (line A). You use the standard public transport tickets, cost CZK 12, available at newspaper agents or vendor machines.
