Spin filtering effects in quasi-one-dimensional
electron systems
Abstract:
Properties of energy states, dispersion relations and spin orientation
of two-dimensional electron systems influenced by the uniform spin-orbit
interaction (Rashba term) in the presence of the external magnetic field
will be described. Main attention will be devoted to the electron
scattering at the interface formed by the potential step. Possible
antisymmetric spin filtering in quasi-one-dimensional systems induced
by a potential barrier will be discussed.
