A Rare Click Beetle from Floodplain Forests in South Moravia

The click beetle Podeonius acuticornis inhabits various parts of Europe but it is rare everywhere. Findings in the Czech Republic are also sporadic. The article describes the bionomics of the elaterid species in floodplain forests in South Moravia. As a species with a very narrow ecological niche it prefers European White Elm or Spreading Elm (Ulmus laevis) individuals of a specific age and type there.
