The Central European Holocene Viewed on the Basis of New Discoveries

This article summarizes new knowledge resulting from the study of the post-glacial sequences in terrestrial-carbonate facia with respect to the situation in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where the highest density of investigated localities exists. A wide range of interesting events has been discovered, completing the image of the Holocene described to date in technical literature. The investigation of the Holocene facia covers development in areas not yet discovered.
