Over the past ten years, mollusc fauna in the Czech Republic have come to include a lot of non-native, sometimes invasive species. Nevertheless, some native species have been found or taxonomically newly identified. Among them, such Alpine fauna as the terrestrial slug Arion alpinus and the topsoil-dwelling terrestrial snail (Aegopinella ressmanni) reach the Czech Republic at the limits of their distribution range.
