Middle Part of the Vltava Stream and its Flora

The Vltava greatly influences the character of the Czech countryside, representing an important migration pathway, centre of biodiversity and a refuge for endange¬red communities. Although the middle part of the Vltava stream was greatly influenced by the construction of water reservoirs, this territory can serve as an example of the so-called river phenomenon. In contrast to the lower part of the Vltava stream, its middle part has been less studied and so can present interesting new discoveries.
