To Better Know Fritillary

Vergner I., Sitášová E.

Fritillaria meleagris belonging to the family Liliaceae is a very rare European species. In the Czech Republic it is classified as an extinct species. However, it can be found in Slovakia, where it grows in wet meadows in dozens of localities. The article also describes the special way this species grows, which enables it to penetrate through a thick layer of compact dry grasses.
