Discovery of European Fingernail Clam Micropopulations

Košel V.

In 2008, in the Old Danube River near Dobrohošť (South Slovakia), two European Fingernail Clam (Sphaerium corneum) micropopulations were found. The individuals were closed by empty shells of the Swan Mussel (Anodonta cygnaea). Besides many empty shells, there were also living specimens with juveniles.
