Cloning of Mammal Embryo III. Early Aging of Progeny

Fulka J.

The last part of this series deals with health complications in individuals cloned from somatic cells (the ending of chromosome shortening - telomere, obvious development deviations, death of transferred embryos during gravidity, etc.). One positive finding is that cloned individuals do not transfer their health handicaps to their descendants. Cloning (embryonic stem cells are also mentioned) offers new unexpected perspectives, but it is difficult to foresee if implementation will be achieved in future.
