The Pine Wood-living Beetle (Tragosoma depsarium) is an 18-36 mm long representative of the subfamily Prioninae. It has become rare in Europe, because it needs decaying conifer sapwood in primeval forests. The article presents the finding of the beetle in the Arihit Mts. (Albania). The long-horn beetle has not been reported from Albania, and a finding of the Macedonian Pine (Pinus peuce) as a host plant for the insect species is also new.
