A Common Biotic Agent Causing a Premature Defoliation of Limes

Urban J.

There are only a few biotic agents, mostly fungi and insects, which seriously damage growths of lindens belonging to the genus Tilia. The life-cycle and bionomics of the Oak Slug Sawly (Caliroa annulipes) have been studied. This insect also feeds on other forest tree species. Its plagues or outbreaks are neither frequent nor long-term.
