In this part of the series on fruit vegetables, other representatives of the family Solanaceae are described – Capsicum annuum, Solanum melongena, Physalis peruviana, and the less well-known vegetable Hibiscus esculenta from the family Malvaceae, as well as maize (Zea mays) from the family Poaceae, a very important grass from the breeding standpoint.
