Both contributions comment on some interesting cases of mistakes during the breeding season by males of some frog species which, instead of a female of their own particular species, attached in amplexus or copulation e.g. to a Fire Salamander (Salamandra salamandra), a Mute Swan leg, a dead fish and the like.
