08.6.2010 - Prof. Bohuslav Ostadal, MD, PhD, has been awarded by the Gold Medal of Prof. Vaclav Libensky

– in the recognition of his lifetime scientific achievements in experimental cardiology

Professor Bohuslav Ostadal, MD, PhD, senior scientist of the Department of Developmental Cardiology of the Institute of Physiology, has been awarded by the highest award of the Czech Cardiological Society – the Gold Medal of Professor Vaclav Libensky – in the recognition of his lifetime scientific achievements in experimental cardiology. The ceremony took place at the Podebrady Castle on 8th June in the presence of representatives of the Society and the town of Podebrady. The main field of Professor Ostadal’s research concerns ontogenetic aspects of major cardiovascular diseases, such as ischemic heart disease.
