Projects
2000 - 2002 Participation on the project "The Social Aspects of Housing and their Change during the Transition in the Czech Republic in Context with the Adjustement to the EU Standards" supported by Grant Agency of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Leader of the project was Ing. Mgr. Martin Lux. The focus of the research was modelling of housing allowance according to housing allowance models in the EU countries.
2002 - 2003 Head of the internal "starting" project "Objective and subjective evaluation of financial affordability of housing in the CR during the last decade of the 20th century". The project was focused on the complex evaluation of financial affordability of housing in the Czech Republic during the transformation period. The results based on data of the Czech Statistical Office (Family Budget Surveys) were compared to subjective attitudes to housing expenditures. For the evalution of financial affordability in rental housing sector was applied approach based on indicators comparing housing expenditures to household income. For analysis of financial affordability in houseowner sector were used three different approaches (lending multiplier, price-to-earning ratio and repayments-to-income ratio). The project also aims to evaluate effectivity and effectiveness of selected subsidies in housing supported by the government. Attitudes to housing expenditures were analysed with the use of data from the Attitudes to Housing in the Czech Republic 2001 Survey.
2003 - 2004 Participation on the project SUREURO NAS (Sustainable Refurbishment Europe) supported by European Comission (5th Frame Programme). The focus of the project is research and testing of methods and tools of sustainable development of the european large real estates. On the SUREURO project participate 7 EU countries, Czech Republic was involved since 2002. The main task of the Czech participants consist in transfer and adaptation of SUREURO tools to national conditions. Socio-economics of Housing Team is responsible for the topic "Methods and Tools of Social Participation, Co-operative Management".
2003 - 2005 Participation on the project "Housing Standards and their Growth Potentials in Comparison with Situation in the EU Countries". Supported by Grant Agency of the Czech Republic. The head of the project was Ing. Mgr. Martin Lux.
2005 - 2006 Participation on the project The Analysis of Housing Policy Measures Aiming to Support Work Flexibility in the Czech Republic supported by the Ministry for Regional Development of the Czech Republic. The head of the project is Ing. Mgr. Martin Lux.
2006 - 2008 Participation on the project The Housing Market in Prague from the Perspective of Economic Sociology: "Transitive" Factors behind the High Prices of Owner-Occupied Housing supported by the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic. The head of the project is Ing. Mgr. Martin Lux.
2009 Co-organizer of international European Network for Housing Research Conference 2009 in Prague "Changing Housing Markets: Integration and Segmentation".
