The genetic algorithm and its application on the interferometric data
Genetic algorithms (GA) are simple and poverful iterative technique, that can
be used for searching the best model of the observed data. This technique
has been successfully applied on the VLTI/MIDI data of the dusty envelope
of the peculiar binary upsilon Sagitarii using MC3D model. The basic
principle of the GA as well as the results of modelling will be presented
in the talk.
