Call for Papers: Belief and Doubt in David Hume An International Conference in Prague, September 6th-8th 2011 Keynote Speakers include: Don Garrett, M.A. Stewart, Peter Millican, Udo Thiel and J.P. Wright This conference, on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of David Hume’s birth, aims to bring together philosophers working on the many epistemological themes in Hume’s thought. Papers are invited on his theories of belief, evidence, induction, probability, testimony and scepticism. We also welcome contributions on the epistemological questions relating to Hume’s treatment of religion, causation and the self. We welcome abstracts of around 300 words to be received at hume2011@flu.cas.cz by February 28th, 2011. There will be a conference fee of 150 euros. The conference is organised by ÚFAR at Charles University, Prague, and the Institute of Philosophy in the Czech Academy of Sciences. The organising committee includes: James Hill, Petra Ivaničová, Josef Moural, and Michal Peliš.
