RNDr. Lydie Plecitá-Hlavatá, PhD, and Mgr. Martin Horák, PhD, were awarded the Otto Wichterle Premium

RNDr. Lydie Plecitá-Hlavatá, PhD, from the Department of Membrane transport biophysics and Mgr. Martin Horák, PhD, from the Department of Cellular Neurophysiology of the Institute of Physiology, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, received the Incentive Otto Wichterle Premium for the promising and talented young researches from the Czech Academy of Sciences.

 

Lydie Plecitá-Hlavatá is interested in investigation of the mitochondrial role in pathogenesis of diseases associated with oxidative stress; Martin Horák is involved in basic research studying the molecular mechanisms that regulate the transport of glutamate receptors into excitatory synapses.
