31.1.2012 - Post doctoral positions

The Center of Biomedical Research, Institute of Physiology, Academy of Sciences, Prague, Videnska 1083, 14220, Czech Republic is seeking applicants for eight Post doctoral positions,

starting June 1, 2012, terminating May 31, 2015 in eight themes of molecular cell physiology and neurophysiology


  1. Pain neurophysiology;

  2. NMDA glutamate receptors;

  3. TRP receptors;

  4. Purinergic P2X receptors;

  5. Muscarinic receptors;

  6. Development of vascular and bone biomaterial substitutions;

  7. Ion transporters; and

  8. Mitochondrial physiology.


Salary ~2000 EUR/month, start-up money from EU operating programme, possibility to proceed research in the new Biotechnology Institute in Prague www.biocev.cz Apply before January 31, 2012 to Jiri Palecek MD, PhD (cbv@biomed.cas.cz) by sending CV and motivational letter with 2 page research accomplishments and statement of motivation and research interests in the respective themes 1 to 8.
