Some results for the motion of a rigid body with a liquid-filled cavity
Abstract:
We consider a rigid body moving in a vacuum which has a liquid-filled cavity. This may roughly apply, for example, to satellites in orbit or to the motion of planet earth. It is interesting from a mathematical point of view to study the asymptotics of the problem, as it combines rigid body and fluid dynamics. We obtained some preliminary results.
