26.11.2012 - Support of Karel Janeček Endowment for Science and Research (NFKJ)

Přemysl Jiruška, M.D., Ph.D. received medicine grant of NFKJ

Successful Czech entrepreneur and science promoter Karel Janecek distributed 15th November 2012 new grants and prices for scientists in the fields of economics, mathematics and medicine. Among the winners is Dr. Přemysl Jiruška of Institute of Physiology. Grant money will cover his studies about why some cells in the brain change in epileptic neurons and what signals can announce the approaching epileptic seizure in rats and humans who suffer from this serious and still widespread disease.
