Nineth Liblice Conference
on the Statistical Mechanics of Liquids
On behalf of the organizers,
I am pleased to announce the 9th Liblice Conference on the Statistical
Mechanics of Liquids. This series of meetings provides a forum for
researchers from around the world to make contacts and exchange ideas
concerning the latest developments in the field, all in the context of
pleasant surroundings in a location in the Czech Republic. The emphasis
is on informal discussions rather than formal presentations, which serve
to highlight current achievements and challenges in both theoretical
and applied aspects of the discipline.
In addition to the traditional topics:
- Liquid-state theories
- Molecular simulation: methodology and novel applications
the program of the 9th conference will include recent developments in the fields of:
- Fluid interfaces and confined fluids
- Aqueous systems, including electrolytes
- Soft matter
- Supercooled/glassy states
Abstract submission will be on-line. The web page will be open here
in due time with instructions on submitting a contribution. All
submissions will be acknowledged to the sender by e-mail.
To preserve the established atmosphere of the meeting, the Liblice
conference does not run, in principle, parallel sessions. With the
emphasis on plenary lectures, participants must accept the fact that
only a very limited number of contributions will be presented orally (15
minutes with 5 minutes for discussion to follow); the overwhelming
majority of contributions will thus be presented as posters.
