GEOLOGY OF COAL BASINS
Objective of the conference
The objective of the Conference is to provide a discussion of the scientists working in the branches of geology, petrology, sedimentology, tectonics, geochemistry, paleontology, ecology, technology of the coal basins.
The official languages of the Conference will be Czech, Polish and English.

Venue and date
The conference will be held in conference room of the Institute of Geonics AS CR in Ostrava-Poruba, Czech Republic in October 15 - 17, 2013. The conference is organized by the Institute of Geonics AS CR in Ostrava and by the Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow.
Conference tour
Within the conference one day excursion to new geological localities in the Ostrava region will be organized.

Conference participants will be able to choose from a wide variety of accomodations.
Papers
The conference proceedings will be published as a special issue of Documenta Geonica by the Institute of Geonics in Czech, Polish or English. Selected full papers in English will be published in a special issue of reviewed journal Geology, Geophysics and Environment.
The paper for Conference Proceedings in Documenta Geonica cannot include more than 6 pages including figures (BW). The paper for journal Geology, Geophysics and Environment should not be less than 5 pages and should not exceed 25 pages (Times New Roman CE fond type, 12 points, 1.5-spaced format).
