Welcome to the workshop of the project ERC-CZ MORE

Implicitly constituted materials: Modeling, analysis, and computing

November 24-27, 2013, Chateau Liblice, Czech Republic.

The team members of the project ERC-CZ MORE (2012-2017) cordially invite you to the workshop Implicitly constituted materials: Modeling, analysis, and computing. The aim of the workshop is twofold. First we want to present the results achieved so far within the framework of the project, and discuss the conceptual questions and ideas we percieve to be of importance with respect to the goals of the project. Second, and more importantly, several renowned scientists outside the project team will deliver lectures on subjects related to the project. We expect the workshop to be an event facilitating transfer of ideas and cross-fertilisation between various scientific disciplines ranging from continuum thermodynamic through mathematical analysis and numerical approximation of partial differential equations to matrix analysis and computations. Our idea is to bring together renowned researchers who otherwise rarely meet at conferences.

The workshop is organized within the activities of the Nečas Center for Mathematical Modeling.

The program of the workshop will consist primarily of the lectures presented by the invited speakers, members of the research team of the project MORE, and members of the Advisory board. There will be a limited number of contributed oral presentations and a poster session. The deadline for registration and submission of abstracts is October 4, 2013. The deadline for registration to participate in the workshop is November 14, 2013.

We are looking forward to see you in Liblice,

Josef Málek, Eduard Feireisl, Zdeněk Strakoš, and Endre Süli
