Data sharing in IOCB networks

Recently, it is possible to share data inside the groups or the whole Institute through two sources. Ftps server is designed for private access to users data, but for serious use the proprietary client is necessary. In the case of Samba application, the client is a part of OS Windows, but the access is controlled on base of group membership according to Organizational chart. Both cases use the same credentials as the Intranet application (albina).

Tips and rules:

  1. The primary use of the disk space is for short term data exchange inside the groups or between the groups. Disk space is limited, so data no longer required is necessary to remove.
  2. Particular group has disk access controlled by the affiliation defined in Organization chart.
  3. Keep on mind that any group member can change or delete data inside his own group.
  4. For public access of data from NMR measurements, the separated read only disk space was reserved.
