Thea - Beowulf cluster, IGAS, Ostrava
The machine consists of 1 interactive node, 8 computing nodes and a file server:
- Each node is equipped by AMD Athlon/1400 processor, 1.5 GB of memory, 20 GB of disk space and 2 FastEthernet interfaces. The interactive node has in addition one FastEthernet connection to Intranet.
- The file server is equipped by two AMD Athlon MP/1900 processors, 1 GB of memory and the total disk space of 100 GB.
- The cluster is interconnected by Cisco Catalyst 2950T switch with 24 FastEthernet ports and 2 Gigabit Ethernet uplinks.

Installed software includes operating system Debian Linux, message passing implementations MPICH 1.2.6, LAM 6.5.6 and PVM 3.4.2, the toolkit for scientific computations PETSc 2.1.3 and 2.2.0 and a set of PGI high-performance compilers.
