Abstract: Presentation of recent results of the long-time project on gas-liquid flow in packed bed by collective of authors: D. Asendrych, P. Niegodajew, M. Marek, S. Drobniak, W. Elsner.
Abstract: The presentation of the authors Drozdz A., Elsner W. will show new achievements in the research of a turbulent boundary layer structure and effect of pressure gradient.
The Symposium on Electric Machines, Drives and Power Electronics will be held in the Institute of Thermomechanics ASCR, v. v. i. in Prague on September 9-11, 2014. The aim of the summer school is to present a comprehensive series of lectures on various aspects of problems involving particles in flows. It is organized as a multidisciplinary event with topics ranging from theoretical and numerical mathematics up to physics and applications. The emphasize will be on models related to topics originating in environmental, biomedical and industrial applications. On June 4-6, 2014, the Institute of Thermomechanics ASCR will be visited by Prof. M. I. Osendi, Prof. P. Miranzo and Dr. M. Belmonte from the Institute of Ceramics and Glass, CSIC Madrid. During their visit, a one-day workshop will be organized in the Seminar Room B.
