Body length:	7 - 11 mm
Life cycle:	2 years
Adults in:	May - June
Host plant:	coniferous trees (especially Pinus)
Distribution:	Europe except South

The living beetle was collected in a relict pine forest near Stará Boleslav town (Central Bohemia, Czech Republic). The mounted beetles landed on a trunk of a fire damaged standing pine tree (Pinus sylvestris) in Kyjov (North Bohemia).
