Rhagium iranum belongs to the rarest species endemic to Iran. The life history and habitat requirements of this beetle closely resemble those of Rhagium sycophanta (Schrank, 1781).

The adults are crepuscular. The depicted beetles were collected near Minudast (NE Iran, Khorasan province).
