From Turkey and Syria Phytoecia (Pygoptosia) speciosa was reported to be associated with Klasea cerinthifolia (Asteraceae) and from Turkey with Klasea oligocephala (Asteraceae).
Body length: 10 - 15 mm Life cycle: 1 year Adults in: May - July Host plant: Klasea spp. Distribution: Turkey, Syria
The depicted beetles were collected on Klasea oligocephala in the plateaus under summit of Nemrut Dagi Mt. (Adiyaman prov., Anatolia, SE Turkey). [❖]Collected by M.Hoskovec
