Modelling Vague Quantifiers in Mathematical Fuzzy Logic
We are seeking a researcher to complement the team for the project “Modelling Vague Quantifiers in Mathematical Fuzzy Logic” funded by the Czech Science Foundation.
We are looking for candidates with strong background in (abstract) algebraic logic, theory of quantification and/or mathematical fuzzy logic.
Conditions
- The full-time position is available from 1.7.2016 till 31.12.2017, when the project ends.
- The applicant should hold a PhD at the moment of the start of the employment.
- The project takes place in Prague at the Institute of Computer Science of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The position is open until the team capacity is filled.

CAS–ICS postdoctoral position
The Institute of Computer Science (ICS) of the Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS) invites outstanding and enthusiastic junior researchers, PhD holders, to apply for a postdoc position funded jointly by CAS and ICS.
Conditions
- Each position is of 12–24 months duration.
- Application deadlines: yearly 30. March and 30. August.
- Starting date: the following 1. July or 1. January.
- This is a full-time fixed term contract appointment. Part time contract possible if taking care of a child.
- Monthly gross salary: about 30 600 CZK offered by the Czech Academy of Sciences.
Cost Of Living Comparison
- Additional bonuses offered by the Institute of Computer Sciences:
- Salary bonus of up to 10 000 CZK per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Travel package for the total duration: up to 50 000 CZK for conferences and research stays.
- Reallocation package for fellows coming from abroad: 10 000 CZK plus 10 000 CZK for family (spouse and/or children).
- No teaching duties
- Applicants must:
- Have obtained a PhD during the last 2 years (prior to the starting date); some exception may be granted if time spent on parental leave.

Fellowship J. E. Purkyně
Cílem Fellowshipu J. E. Purkyně pro význačné perspektivní vědecké pracovníky je získat pro pracoviště AV ČR vynikající tvůrčí vědce ze zahraničí, a to jak vědce českého původu pracující dlouhodobě v zahraničí, tak špičkové vědce zahraniční, zpravidla mladší 40 let, a zajistit jim na pracovištích AV ČR přiměřené finanční ohodnocení. Fellowship J. E. Purkyně se poskytuje nejdéle na dobu 5 let.
Žádosti o udělení Fellowshipu J. E. Purkyně pro vybraného kandidáta předkládají ředitelé pracovišť AV ČR po projednání v radě pracoviště a s jejím doporučením. Žádosti se předkládají do 31. srpna kalendářního roku a jsou posuzovány nejpozději ve 4. čtvrtletí kalendářního roku.
