One of interesting localities visited during our trip to Georgia were vast steppes located south of Kasristskali (კასრისწყალი) village in Kakheti Region of Eastern Georgia. These arid lowlands (altitude 50-150 m), characterized by its dry climate, are notable for its unique, bad-land-like landscape covered by desert and semi-desert steppe vegetation.
From species, which we found here, is necessary to remind following Cerambycid taxa:
- Agapanthia (Smaragdula) persicola Reitter, 1894
- Mallosia (Semnosia) galinae (Danilevsky, 1990)
- Phytoecia (Helladia) armeniaca armeniaca Frivaldszky, 1878
- Phytoecia (Helladia) humeralis (Waltl, 1828)
- Phytoecia (Helladia) pretiosa Faldermann, 1837
- Phytoecia (Musaria) puncticollis puncticollis Faldermann, 1837
- Phytoecia (Musaria) faldermanni Faldermann, 1837
- Phytoecia (Phytoecia) caerulea caerulea (Scopoli, 1772)
