According to Martin Rejzek et al. [❖] in Iran Niphona indica develops in Calotropis procera (Apocynaceae).
Body length: 10 - 19 mm Life cycle: 2 years [?] Adults in: March - August Host plant: Calotropis procera (in Iran) Distribution: Arab Emirates, Oman, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan
Although Niphona indica is a typical nocturnal species the adults never come to light. The depicted beetles were collected in Genu (30 km N Bandar-e Abbas, Hormozgan province, South Iran) on their host plant.
