Cal This is the subtask for establishing the
synthetic calibration of photographic density curve.
Phot. scale Here the name of the photographic scale
is chosen. Each scale name must be given in LOGINT.DAT file
together with the number of wedges and their relative intensities
Calc coefs The coefficients of the polynomial
fit of density curve are established here.
Measure plate It calls the microphotometer driver
which scans the plate across its dispersion axis to get the
information about photometric wedges and the fog. The scanned
data are saved to file *.CC3. Than the on-screen
interactive edition is called, where the mean intensity of both
wedge and fog is set. The same repeats for another position on the
plate. The transparency of each wedge is saved to file *.CTR.
After finishing (typically 4-6 perpendicular cuts) the
synthetic calibration curve is displayed (with the possibility of
deleting points with large error) and polynomial coefficients of the
fit are calculated
and saved to *.CAL file.
Read transp file The already measured
*.CTR file is read and after the synthetic calibration edition
the *.CAL file is produced.
Read coefs Just the *.CAL file is read.
Star The main part of stellar plate
processing.
Measure plate The microphotometer driver is
called that scans the plate along the dispersion axis and
each channel produces files *.CH1, *.CH5 for comparison
spectra, *.CH2, *.CH4 for the fog and *.CH3
for the star scan. Then the comparison lines from particular
*.CMP list are identified interactively in
oscilloscopic or automatic mode. The dispersion curve is
displayed with the possibility of deletion of points with large
errors. The protocol of comparison line measurement *.CMF
is produced. The transparencies of wavelength calibrated stellar
spectrum is written into *.TRN file and finally the
intensity file *.UUI is produced using the particular
calibration density curve.
Reduce data The same as above, just using
already prescanned *.CH1 - *.CH5 files.
Transp to int Just the transformation from
*.TRN to *.UUI file.
