The depicted specimen of Cortodera syriaca was collected [✧] on Gundelia tournefortii in the peak region of Nemrut Dagi Mt. (Adiyaman prov., Anatolia, SE Turkey). According to Rejzek et al. [❖] in Turkey Cortodera syriaca develops in Gundelia tournefortii Linnaeus (Asteraceae).
