During Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August
30, there will be several cars and a shuttle bus commuting between
the airport and the conference site. Look for our logo:"
Mesons 98". If for whatever reason you either miss or
decide not to use our shuttle or cars, please, follow the instructions
below.
Taxi : the stand is in front of the airport building. Ask
for Pruhonice (+hotel Floret, Magnolia or Parkhotel) . It is advised to
use the registered AIRPORT CAR firm (white Volkswagens with a Bellinda
ad). It is strongly advised to ask about the price before taking the taxi
(the fare should not much exceed 1000 CZK- about 30 USD).
Airport shuttle: the stand is in front of the airport building.
The shuttle will take you to the city center (Namesti Republiky,
Metro line B ) for 360CZK (1 to 4 persons) and 720 (5-8 persons) .
Take Metro line B to the next station Florenc, there change to the
line C. go direction Haje and get out at the station Opatov
(last but one). From there see "BUS to Pruhonice".
to buy tickets first (transfer for CZK 12) at a newspaper stand or from
ticket machines in the airport building. There are several exchange offices
in the arrival hall where you can change money; the current rate is about
CZK 33 for 1 $. The commission is usually slightly higher than in the banks
downtown. (There are exchange offices in the hotels in Pruhonice as well.)
take the bus 119 whose terminal is in front of the building. In
about 20 minutes it takes you to the subway (metro) line A, station Dejvicka
take the Metro
to the station Museum, there change to line C, go direction Haje
and get out at the station Opatov (last but one) . From there see
"Bus to Pruhonice".
Coming by train
We will meet you at the railway station, if you contact us (please,
bear in mind that there won't be a permanent meeting point at the railway
stations).
Else, you have to buy tickets first at a newspaper stand or in a Metro
station. You can use exchange offices at the stations named below to get
Czech currency. It is reasonable to check the commission in case you want
to exchange a larger amount.
From the Main Station (Hlavni nadrazi) as well as from the Holesovice
stationtake the subway line C, go direction Haje and
get out at the station Opatov (last but one) . From there see
"Bus to Pruhonice".
We cannot recommend taking taxi from the railway stations.
Coming by car
You should get to the highway D1, leaving Prague in the south-east direction
to BRNO, take exit 6 (Pruhonice).
Pruhonice is about 300 meters from the highway exit. You will get directly
to the main square where the hotel
Magnolia is (passing Parkhotel).
Bus to PRUHONICE
Exit the Metro station Opatov, go straight
till the end of the passage and at the left side enter the spiral pathway
which will lead you one level up to the bus terminal. There are 4 bus stops
-3 red ones of the municipal buses (indicated by numbers) and 1 blue
stop with time tables (the most remote). Any bus from this BLUE BUS
STOP will take you to Pruhonice (though their destinations might
differ). Here is the time table. Tickets are sold
by drivers in the bus. Get out at the bus stop Pruhonice (you will see
either castle or hotel Magnolia). It takes 15 minutes from Opatov
to PRUHONICE.
