Ústav teoretické a aplikované mechaniky AV ČR, v. v. i. vyhlašuje v souladu se zákonem č. 283/1992 Sb. o Akademii věd České republiky, ve znění zákona č. 420/2005 Sb. a Stanov AV ČR výběrové řízení na pozici Researcher in Laboratory of mechanical analysis and monitoring of materials and structures
Požadavky: Requirements: • Masters or PhD (preferred) in civil or mechanical mechanical engineering, preferably in the field of material engineering or building structures • experience with research projects and relevant publication activity • excellent proficiency in English is required, proficiency in Czech or German is an advantage • independence, diligence, responsibility, reliability, integrity • experience with material testing, particularly of wood and other building materials • user knowledge of science-related software (Matlab) and office software for PC Responsibility and duties: • implementation and control of tests in Laboratory of mechanical analysis and monitoring of materials and structures of the Centre of Excellence Telč, including operation of loading machines and measuring systems • proposal of testing methodologies and of new test equipment and fixtures • formulation of projects for national and international calls (in cooperation with the management of the Centre of Excellence Telč and ITAM CAS) • individual or team research projects in the field • meetings with new and current clients of the laboratory and with the partners of realized projects • presentation of the results in the form of scientific articles and conference contributions Start date: 1. 1. 2017 Working location: ITAM CAS European Centre of Excellence Telč, Batelovská 486, 588 56 Telč, Czech Republic - cet.arcchip.cz Applications incl. a brief professional CV are to be sent to the following address: ÚTAM AVČR, v. v. i., Prosecká 76, 19000 Praha 9, Czech Republic, or alternatively via e-mail to burianova@itam.cas.cz.
